The Weeknd Jumps To No. 1 On The Artist Power Index For The Second Time In 2026

The Weeknd moves up two positions to take the No. 1 ranking on the Artist Power Index, marking his second appearance at the top of the chart in 2026. He previously earned the highest ranking on July 3, the only week since April 17 without Bruno Mars at No. 1.

Although Mars scored the highest APX ranking in 17 of the past 18 weeks, he lands at No. 4 this week as his “The Romantic Tour” has been dormant during most of the past monthlong period of chart eligibility. That affected his Live score, which is based on ticket sales potential. Only the last four of the July shows on the European leg of his tour were eligible to contribute to chart rankings. Mars is back on the road, though, as of Aug. 21, the first stop on the second North American leg of his tour that will continue through the remainder of the year.

The Weeknd’s jump to No. 1 on the Artist Power Index comes as he nears the end of his own trek through Europe. His “After Hours til Dawn Tour” is currently on the continent for just two more weeks, as he is set to complete the summer run with a two-night event at Estádio do Restelo in Lisbon, Portugal, Sep. 5-6.

With a total of 42 shows set in European stadiums this year, the current leg is the R&B star’s second trek through Europe since launching the tour four years ago. The “After Hours til Dawn Tour” began in 2022 with an opening run of 21 stadium shows in U.S. and Canadian cities, followed by his first European leg the following summer. Between June and August of 2023, he performed 30 shows at stadiums in 15 countries in Europe, grossing over $158 million from 1.64 million sold tickets.

Following this year’s European leg, only Asia remains on The Weeknd’s tour schedule with 17 performances currently booked in seven countries. Billed as “the final leg before shutdown,” the Asian shows will begin in Tokorozawa, Japan on Sep. 19 and continue through Nov. 5, wrapping in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Prior to this year, “After Hours til Dawn” had already racked up a massive $693 million at the box office, ranking it among the highest-grossing tours of all time, according to ticket sales figures reported to Pollstar. Based on 110 shows at stadiums in the Americas, Europe and Australia since the tour began, worldwide attendance surpassed 5.48 million through the end of 2025.

LIVE75 also has a previous 2026 chart-topper back in the No. 1 position as Bad Bunny scores the highest ranking after appearing in the lineup for the first time in three weeks. He ranks No. 1 based on ticket sales at three shows during the European leg of his “Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour.” With 65,039 tickets sold at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland; 78,375 sold at Milan, Italy’s Ippodromo Snai La Maura and 57,016 more at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, Belgium, he averaged 66,810 per show to top the chart. With a combined gross of $21.4 million, his three-night gross average totals $7.13 million per show.

So far in 2026, Bad Bunny has ranked No. 1 on LIVE75 a total of 14 times. He held the top position for three consecutive weeks two separate times early in the year, the first time at the beginning of January and again on the charts dated Feb. 20, 27 and March 6. Then, from June 19 through July 31, he was the highest-ranked touring artist for a seven-week span.

Continuing the trend, Global Concert Pulse also features a new artist in the top position this week as Karol G debuts at No. 1. With box-office totals reported from eight concerts that occurred during the chart’s three-month window of eligibility, her gross average comes to $9.25 million.

The shows are the first eight on her “Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour” that launched with a two-night engagement at Soldier Field in Chicago, July 24-25. Her multiple-show run in the Los Angeles area is also included in the chart totals. She played SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Aug. 14, 15 and 16, moving a total of 138,640 tickets for a gross of $34.1 million.
