Sydney-based Brett Murrihy, one-time senior agent at Premier Harbour, joined WME in 2015 when it bought Artist Voice, his joint venture with Mushroom’s Matt Gudinski.

A defining achievement of Murrihy’s leadership has been establishing WME’s Sydney office as the first major global talent agency to create a permanent music booking presence in Australia, after which he focused on “building a world-class team of international agents based in Sydney,” which he calls a first for the market “and a significant milestone in the region’s development.”

Another high point for Murrihy includes “championing creative talent and working to turn artistic visions into lasting careers and guiding artists on the journey from club stages to sold-out stadiums.”

Over the past 12 months, Murrihy guided singer-songwriter Paul Kelly through his first-ever sold-out arena tour, delivered Crowded House’s largest tour to date (to 250,000 fans across Australia and New Zealand, he says) and was instrumental in bringing Split Enz reunion tour to life—its first tour in 25 years—which sold out arenas throughout the region.

He built Royel Otis globally with 10,000 fans per market as the region’s success story, oversaw Dua Lipa’s presence in the Asia Pacific from a 250-capacity Sydney club show in 2016 to major festival appearances and sold-out arena and stadium tours in 2025.

Murrihy also created MISNEACH, a new festival with Irish singer-songwriter. The inaugural Sydney event attracted 20,000 at The Domain before expanding it to Boston.

Tours for WME clients included Teddy Swims (whose opening the 2025 NRL Grand Final at Sydney’s Accor Stadium was before 80,000 and a TV audience of 4.5 million) Lewis Capaldi, The Killers, Massive Attack, Benson Boone, Calvin Harris, Jack White, Angus & Julia Stone, Ruel, Goo Goo Dolls, Ben Harper, Angie McMahon, Daniel Johns, Genesis Owusu, Banks, Morgan Evans, Jensen McRae, Freya Skye and Sienna Spiro.
