Grand Ole Opry Celebrates Vince Gill’s 35th Opry Anniversary With Two Shows Oct. 17

The Grand Ole Opry will celebrate one of its most beloved members when Vince Gill marks his 35th anniversary as an Opry member with two special shows on Oct. 17, at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM/CT.

Joining Gill for the milestone celebration will be longtime friends and fellow Opry members Ricky Skaggs and Patty Loveless, along with wife and multi-award winner Amy Grant, Gill’s acclaimed tour vocalist Wendy Moten and more guests to be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets are now available.

Gill made his Opry debut on June 29, 1989, and was inducted as an official member on Aug. 10, 1991. In the 35 years since, the Country Music Hall of Fame member has become one of the Opry’s greatest ambassadors, returning to the famous stage throughout his career to perform, collaborate with fellow artists and friends as well as welcome new generations into the Circle.

One of country music’s most successful and respected artists, songwriters and musicians, Gill has earned 22 Grammy Awards, 19 CMA Awards and membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Musicians Hall of Fame. His celebrated catalog includes “When I Call Your Name,” “I Still Believe in You,” “Whenever You Come Around,” “Look at Us” and “One More Last Chance,” among many others. “Go Rest High On That Mountain” has been selected for preservation by The National Recording Registry Of The Library Of Congress.

The anniversary comes during another milestone year for Gill. He recently concluded his “50 Years From Home Tour,” celebrating five decades since leaving his Oklahoma home to pursue a life in music. The 27-city tour, launched in June, included a sold-out six-night residency at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.

Gill is also marking the career milestone through his ongoing 50 Years From Home music series, a year-long collection of EPs featuring newly recorded songs alongside selections from his acclaimed catalog. He will continue performing with the Eagles during their upcoming dates at Sphere in Las Vegas and will return to the Ryman Auditorium in December for the annual Christmas at the Ryman residency with Grant.
