Ozzfest Confirms 2027 U.S. Return

Ozzfest will be back stateside in 2027 for the first time in nearly a decade.

The festival’s social media channels posted “Ozzfest will come to the UK and US” Sept. 21 with promises that more information would be forthcoming.

Ozzfest was last held in 2018 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. The long-running festival was started in 1996 by Sharon Osbourne after being rebuffed at an effort to get Ozzy as a headliner on Lollapalooza. Beginning as a one- or two-day festival, it later evolved into a touring festival that launched the careers of numerous metal, hardcore and other hard music acts.

Following Ozzy’s death last year — and the success of the “Back to the Beginning” concert at Villa Park in Birmingham, Sharon and son Jack Osbourne began hinting at the return of the festival in both the UK and US. It was later confirmed the UK edition would be staged at Villa Park.
