The “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” is the gift that keeps on giving for Shakira.
It’s not only the most successful tour of the Colombian star’s career, but also the highest-grossing Latin tour ever. Through Oct. 4, Shakira’s ambitious, lengthy tour has grossed $534,380,976 and moved 4,084,398 tickets across 118 shows, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.

The she-wolf surpassed Bad Bunny’s “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour,” a massive stadium trek that grossed $443,403,120 across 57 shows. Other notable Latin tours include Luis Miguel’s triumphant 2023 return to the stage, which grossed $415,849,128 from 2,861,491 tickets, and Karol G’s “Mañana Será Bonito Tour,” which marked the Colombian star’s ascension to stadium status and hauled in $304,960,266 from 2,279,749 tickets.

The success of these tours over the past four years reinforces the notion that Latin music is the new pop—an influential force that has expanded well beyond its borders and continues to grow and evolve in different ways. Bad Bunny and Karol G are leaders of the urbano movement, Shakira is a chameleon who finds a way to modernize her sound by authentically dabbling in other genres without betraying her rhythmic pop sensibilities and Luis Miguel is Latin music’s own Frank Sinatra, a crooner whose ballads and pop hits continue to resonate, even among younger crowds, decades later.

The success of those tours speaks to the diverse sound of the Latin music umbrella and Latinos’ eclectic taste, one that embraces the new and always honors what came before it.

Shakira’s tour embodies that concept with a setlist that celebrates her storied 30-plus-year career, her evolution as an artist and Latin culture. She just concluded a 13-date residency in Madrid, Spain, that welcomed more than 700,000 fans and generated an economic impact exceeding $200 million, according to Live Nation.

It all took place at a purpose-built temporary venue called Shakira Stadium, built by architecture firm BIG within Macondo Park. The artist transformed the site into a cultural hub and curated ES LATINA, an immersive experience surrounding the venue that also celebrated art, literature, fashion and gastronomy. The residency featured more than 1,500 artists and performers from across the globe and delivered more than 400 hours of cultural programming. The residency was initially announced as a three-night stand, but high demand extended it to 13 nights.

Among those artists were superstars who joined Shakira on stage. Dua Lipa, Maluma, Bizarrap, Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz, Beéle, Manuel Turizo and Dani Martin made special appearances during the Colombian superstar’s impressive run.

Her performance with fellow superstar Dua Lipa was featured on Amazon Music’s exclusive livestream of Shakira’s Oct. 3, the platform’s most-viewed livestream by a female artist.

Shakira is at the tail end of her impressive run, which began in February 2025. The singer has a show at Bishkek Arena in Kyrgyzstan on Oct. 18, and her final listed date is the Shakira Live at the Pyramids of Giza show in Al Haram, Egypt on Nov. 28.

The “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour” was originally scheduled to begin as an arena tour in fall 2024, but the plan was scrapped because of overwhelming demand for tickets. Shakira then made the bold jump to stadiums, a move that paid off and cemented her as one of Latin music’s all-time greats.
