Brush Fire Mars ODESZA’s Final Concert At Gorge Amphitheatre
The final night of ODESZA’s “Last Goodbye” tour was cut short at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, on July 6 after a brush fire began to spread across the hill. The fire broke out next to the stage and climbed up the hill along the venue. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire, and no injuries have been reported.
“During the last song of ODESZA’s set at the Gorge, a brush fire broke out not far from the stage,” the venue said in a statement posted on social media. “The fire was contained and fortunately was quickly extinguished. Out of an abundance of caution and safety, the show ended without an encore. We truly appreciate everyone coming tonight and celebrating the end of the tour. Thank you.”
The fire broke out as the electronic duo began to play the last song of their setlist. ODESZA was playing the final night of their three-show run at the venue to wrap up their “Last Goodbye” tour, which ran for the last two years. Fans were asked to exit the venue, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
ODESZA is booked by Wasserman Music’s Jay Moss and managed by Red Light Management’s Adam Foley.
Highlights from their tour included sold-out dates at the Greek Theatre at US Berkeley in Berkeley, California, on June 13 and 14, which grossed $2.2 million, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports. Last summer, they headlined festivals including Outside Lands and Bonnaroo.
They wrapped up “The Last Goodbye” with three dates at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado, and three dates at the Gorge Amphitheatre.
