Scoop Marketing Publicist Maxie Solters Dies At Age 37
Scoop Marketing publicist Maxie Solters, who was also a writer, actor and producer, died on Aug. 15. She was 37.
A statement from Scoop Marketing said that, “Maxie brought a unique blend of creativity, passion, and expertise to her work representing and putting her touch on clients such as The KIA Forum, the Hollywood Bowl, Music Forward, and many more. Her infectious enthusiasm, positivity, innovative ideas, and unwavering dedication made her an inspiration to all who knew her.”
A cause of death was not disclosed.
Solters was raised in Sherman Oaks, California, and graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Theatre. She began her career in film and television casting while also serving as a coordinator for One Billion Rising, a global campaign dedicated to ending violence against women.
By joining Scoop Marketing in 2012 she became the third generation of Solters to enter the public relations field, following in the footsteps of her highly-esteemed father, Larry, and late grandfather, Lee, a famed Hollywood press agent.
The statement added that beyond her career, “She was actively involved in V-Day International and Women’s Rights, a testament to her compassion and desire to create a better future. Her unwavering optimism and kind heart touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy of love and kindness.”
Solters was also a proud voting member of the Screen Actors Guild. Her accomplishments include writing, producing and starring in the 2017 TV series “CLIMAX! The Series,” as well as writing and starring in the 2016-2017 TV series “Adventures In Online Dating.” Her most recent acting credit was for the 2022 short film “Six” as Agent Holder.
She is survived by her father Larry and his partner, Carol Greenhut, her mother Debra Graff, her Aunt Susan Reynolds, her Cousin Jonah Reynolds, her longtime partner Dim Dobrin, her dog Pookie, and a wide circle of friends and colleagues.
Pollstar (and parent company Oak View Group) counts itself as one of Scoop Marketing’s clients, and members of our staff are among those lucky enough to have known and worked with Maxie. She will remain in our hearts for her kindness, love of music and as an inspiration for standing up for women’s rights. We offer our sincere condolences to her loved ones.
A celebration of Maxie’s life is being planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to One Billion Rising.
