Trendy Taipei To Feature 100+ Artists

Taipei is the host of Trendy Taipei, Music X Innovation, Sept. 2-8, described by Street Insider as “the pilot edition of a mega-multinational festival consisting of 13 events related to music and TV entertainment, live music performance, digital marketing and the tech industry.”

More than 100 musical acts will perform during the festival, which was created to “showcase the city’s cultural pluralism and spirit of innovation.”

The central event is something called Jam Jam Asia, which takes place at the Taipei Music Center Sept. 7-8.

Fifty music groups from all over Asia will “help promote musical exchange in Asia and the internationalization of Taiwanese music.”

The event is touted as a “confluence of music and art, bringing together artists and fans from different backgrounds to enjoy the passion of music.”

Many of the participants have planned collaborative performances. For instance, hip-hop stars from Korea and Taiwan will perform songs together in order to “highlight the charm
of cross-cultural musical exchange.”

Slow Life Slow Live Lineup Unveiled


Korean DJ Peggy Gou, Japanese singer-songwriter Joji, and British electronica duo Honne head the lineup for Korea’s Slow Life Slow Live music festival, which takes place Oct. 11-13 at the Olympic Park in Seoul, announced on Aug. 29.

Other acts on the roster include Yaeji, Lucky Daye, Balming Tiger, Corinne Bailey Rae, Glen Check and Claire Rosingranz.

The festival, promoted by Korean entertainment company Private Curve, focuses on “giving the audience a chance to take a step back from their busy lives and enjoy the slow passing moments of life” through music, according to an article in Korea JoongAng Daily.

Coldplay Tipped To Open Kai Tak Stadium In 2025


Coldplay will perform at the new 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong, which is set to open “early next year,” the South China Morning Post is reporting.

According to two unnamed sources that the newspaper talked to, tickets will go on sale “around the start of 2025.”

Ye’s Listening Party Sells Out


According to the Instagram account of Daniel McCartney, CEO of Outlast Records, all 30,000 tickets to Kanye West’s China listening party sold out three minutes after they went on sale.

Apparently, more tickets will be offered once the stage design for the party is determined.
The party is to take place at the Wuyuanhe Stadium in the city of Haikou, Hainan Province, on Sept. 7.
