Tim Heidecker Announces 2025 North American Tour In Support Of ‘Slipping Away’ LP

Singer/songwriter and comedian Tim Heidecker of Tim & Eric fame has released his latest single “Dad of the Year” from his upcoming album, Slipping Away, and unveiled the routing for a 2025 North American headline tour.

Slipping Away is due out Oct. 18 via Bloodshot Records as the follow-up to 2020’s Fear of Death and 2022’s High School. The LP is described as offering “an imagistic framework that allows for some of his brightest melodies, heaviest themes, and most direct and vulnerable lyrics, creating his warmest and fullest record to date.”

The announcement from this PR team adds that for fans of Tim & Eric who are expecting tunes like “Wipe My Butt,” that “while Heidecker’s work in film and television is often an act of complex, surrealist worldbuilding, the expertly crafted singer-songwriter material Heidecker releases under his own name is increasingly tender, all while dealing with crises of confidence and community.”

On that note, “Dad of the Year,” which also includes a new video out today (featuring Heidecker and his actual father, who can be seen in the Abso Lutely Productions closing logo that caps off all of Tim & Eric’s television creations) “sees Heidecker observe shifting trends in culture and his own changing ambitions, weighing his childhood expectations against the reality he faces as a father approaching 50.

Heidecker is joined on the album and tour by The Very Good Band featuring Eliana Athayde on bass, vocals and additional production; Josh Adams on drums; Vic Berger on keys; and Connor “Catfish” Gallaher on guitar and pedal steel.

“My favorite records are the ones that were just recorded in a room with a band playing,” he says in a statement. “And that’s what we did.”

Up next for Heidecker, who just completed a tour with Waxahatchee and Snail Mail, are a handful of performances this weekend in Nashville as part of Americanafest.

His 2025 North American tour launches Jan. 22 at San Francisco’s Bimbo’s 365 and includes gigs at Minneapolis’ First Avenue, Chicago’s Thalia Hall, Philadelphia’s Union Transfer, Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall, New Orleans’ Tipitinas and Brooklyn, New York’s Brooklyn Steel, along with a bunch of other stops. The run features support from Neil Hamburger and DJ Douggpound.

Tickets go on sale Friday, September 19th @ 10am local time via https://www.timheidecker.com/live

Heidecker is represented by United Talent Agency and managed by Another Management Company’s Holly Cartwright and Dan Oestreich. Reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for Heidecker include an August 2023 show at Kemba Live! in Columbus, Ohio, that sold 421 tickets and grossed $19,784.
