Stevie Wonder Announces 10-Date, Swing State-Heavy Election Season Tour
Stevie Wonder will play 10 concerts in October “at the height of a critical election season and a pivotal juncture in American politics and culture, in a call for ‘joy over anger, kindness over recrimination, peace over war.'”
The Wonder Productions-produced and AEG Presents-promoted “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart” performances begin Oct. 8 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. The tour will play New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Greensboro, North Carolina; Atlanta, Detroit, Milwaukee and Minneapolis, before wrapping up in Grand Rapids. Michigan, Oct. 30.
Seven of the 10 cities hosting shows are in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia or North Carolina. Minnesota, while much bluer than the others, is also considered a critical state for Democrats in the fall.
Stevie Wonder is repped by CAA.
