Sophie Lobl Named VP Of Rolling Stone Live
Sophie Lobl, most recently with C3 Presents, has been named vice president of Rolling Stone Live, where she will oversee strategic operations, executive and talent bookings.
Lobl will report to Rolling Stone CEO Gus Wenner and is based in Austin, Texas.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sophie to our team,” Wenner said in the announcement. “Her deep experience programming live events and festivals across the country coupled with her creative vision make her the perfect fit for our ambitions. We can’t wait to watch the evolution of our live events unfold under her guidance.”
Lobl brings 10 years of experience, starting out of college as an assistant producer at BBC Radio 1 for before stints with WME, C3 Presents and Live Nation, where as global festival promoter she booked talent for events including Bonnaroo, Music Midtown and played major roles in developing Lollapalooza Stockholm, among other events. She joined C3 in 2015.

Lobl is also credited with the concept behind the campground experience at Bonnaroo, where she developed 10 different stages and activations, adding up to an additional 100 artists at the popular destination festival.
A representative says Lobl will helm Rolling Stone Live’s events team with plans to expand the brand’s footprint in the live music space.
