Another major artist is doing their part to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene. Legendary singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt announced she will perform a benefit concert at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, North Carolina, with Grammy-nominated U.K. singer James Hunter as a special guest on Nov. 20 to raise funds for nonprofit organizations aiding communities impacted by the natural disaster.

“Our hearts break for the devastated communities whose immeasurable pain and hardship continues,” Raits said in a statement. “With our partners at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, North Carolina, and our promoter Allen Corbett with AEG Presents, we are coming together to donate all we can from the event to support these crucial relief efforts.”

The fan presale begins Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. local time followed by the general onsale, which starts Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets can be purchased at the artist’s website, bonnieraitt.com.

Proceeds will go to organizations such as the Emergency and Disaster Response Rund of The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, which distributes grants to nonprofits on the front line helping the 18 counties of Western North Carolina that are trying to clean up and rebuild after the hurricane. The foundation’s administrative fees are waived, ensuring every dollar donated goes directly to assistance.

Raitt was originally scheduled to play a concert at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Ashville, North Carolina, on Nov. 20 but had to postpone the show because the area was devastated by Hurricane Helene. That show has been rescheduled to April 23, 2025. Tickets will remain valid for the new date, and those who can no longer attend have until Jan. 31, 2025, to request a refund.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is in the middle of a headlining tour promoting her 2022 album, Just Like That…, which earned her three Grammy wins last year. She’ll be visiting Houston, Texas, on Nov. 6 to perform at The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, and additional stops include New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre, the Opry House in Nashville and Moran Theatre at Jacksonville Performing Arts Center in Florida.

Raitt will also be honored later this year at the 47th Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C., for her achievements as an artist alongside luminaries like filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, the Grateful Dead and instrumentalist Arturo Sandoval. The ceremony will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Dec. 23.

Raitt, who was featured on a Pollstar cover story in March of 2022, is booked by Creative Artists Agency and managed by GRI. She recently performed at The Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, California. The Sept. 14 show grossed $446,995 off 6,104 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports. She also had a sold-out concert at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston on June 15 that moved 4,036 tickets and grossed $319,421.
