Brandi Carlile Signs With CAA & Phantom Management For Worldwide Representation
Brandi Carlile is now being represented worldwide by CAA in all areas. As for her management, today’s news also announces the launch of Phantom Management, which is led by Catherine Carlile and Carolyn Snell.
In addition to helping expand Carlile’s music initiatives, CAA plans to help “create opportunities across an array of areas, including film, television, publishing, and beyond.”
Carlile is an 11-time Grammy Award and two-time Emmy Award-winning artist who has released seven studio albums, including her most recent, 2021’s In These Silent Days. She is also a bestselling author, record producer and founder of multiple music festivals – “Brandi Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend” and “Brandi Carlile’s Mothership Weekend.” As a producer she’s worked on GRAMMY Award-winning projects from Joni Mitchell and Brandy Clark and as a beloved collaborator she’s teamed up with artists including Elton John, The Highwomen, Soundgarden, Alicia Keys, Hozier, Noah Khan, Jacob Collier, P!nk, and Dolly Parton.
She’s also an activist philanthropist as the founder of the Looking Out Foundation, which has raised more than $6 million for grassroots causes.
Today’s announcement notes that Carlile is following up her No. 1 New York Times Bestseller book, “Broken Horses: A Memoir,” with a new book with Dey Street Books (Harper Collins), out next year.
Girls Just Wanna Weekend is set to return Jan. 16-20 with a lineup topped by Shania Twain, MUNA, Maren Morris, Lucius, Brandy Clark, and of course, Carlile herself.
Stay turned for 2025 dates for Brandi Carlile’s Mothership Weekend.
Carlile was most recently seen on stage at the Joni Jam at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles earlier this month, celebrating the music of Joni Mitchell. Reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for Carlile include two nights at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., March 21-22, 2024 that sold a total of 6,432 tickets and grossed a combined 1,076,173.
She was previously represented by Wasserman Music and her manager Carolyn Snell used to be with Red Light Management.
Phantom Management was launched in 2024 and in addition to representing Carlile, the company’s roster includes The Hanseroth Twins.
The musical duo made up of twin brothers Phillip John and Timothy Jay Hanseroth have long worked with Brandi Carlile, joining her in the studio and on tour. Earlier this year The Hanseroth Twins released their debut, self-titled album.
Catherine Carlile, who married Brandi in 2012, has more than 22 years of music industry experience including getting her start at MPL Music Publishing in London and working with Sir Paul McCartney for over a decade.
She also served as the Executive Director of the Looking Out Foundation and Creative Director for Brandi Carlile, before making the move into senior management. Her philanthropy work includes helping raise over 2 million dollars for War Child UK.
Snell has nearly three decades of expertise across artist management, touring, live events and marketing. Over the years she’s led the coordination and management of global tours for renowned artists such as Reba McEntire, Janet Jackson, John Mayer and Indigo Girls.
She departed Red Light Management in August and joined Phantom Management in September, “where she oversees the daily operations and helps execute long-term strategies for Brandi Carlile and The Hanseroth Twins.”
Snell, who is a former member of the Board of the Directors for nonprofit social enterprise Thistle Farms, has been a long-time supporter of numerous cause-drive events including last year’s Love Rising Benefit Concert, which raised over half-a-million dollars for LGBTQ+ causes in Tennessee.
Pollstar honored Snell as part of the 2022 edition of Women of Live.
A few years before that Brandi Carlile graced the cover of the Sept. 9, 2019, issue of Pollstar along with MSG’s Live’s Darren Pfeffer.
Earlier this month CAA signed Canadian producer/DJ deadmau5.
