Gigantic Tickets UK Promotes

Simon Carpenter has been promoted to co-CEO of Gigantic Tickets alongside company founder Mark Gasson.

UK ticketing business Gigantic Tickets, part of the KMJ Entertainment group, announced a raft of staff promotions in its senior management team, signaling a new era for the ticket agency.

Simon Carpenter, whose 15 years of ticketing experience include nine years of leading Gigantic’s commercial team, has been promoted to co-CEO alongside Gigantic Tickets founder Mark Gasson. Carpenter also joins the board as a director.

Additionally, Joe Lilley, whose been part of Gigantic’s core technical team for more than 13 years, becomes co-CTO alongside existing CTO James Woodward, where “he will continue developing and delivering cutting-edge technology,” according to the press release announcing the appointments.

Finally, Kelly McKinney has been promoted to head of operations. In this role, McKinney “will apply her breadth of knowledge and expertise to the role after eight years working in event management & client services at Gigantic, and over 20 years in ticketing,” according to the release.

Carpenter commented, “I’m delighted and excited to be given the opportunity to move Gigantic forward in the coming years. We have a wonderful team of passionate people who are fully behind our future strategy and development. I thank Mark for his years of support, insight and mentoring – me being here today is testament to his standing and knowledge in the ticketing industry.”

Gasson added, “I’m proud to see such a positive promotion of our internal team, which is testament to the ongoing hard work and commitment of the talent here at Gigantic. We look forward to a future of continued growth and strength.”
