Travis Scott Closes ‘Circus Maximus’ Tour With 21 Noise Complaints in New Zealand

The City of Auckland, New Zealand, revealed that it received 21 noise complaints about Travis Scott’s first show in that country before a sellout 50,000 crowd.

One claimed her house 1.5 km away was shaking. Others called it the loudest concert they had heard in decades.

Eden Park chief executive Nick Sautner said advice from independent acoustic consultants wo monitored the sound said the concert had not breached conditions.

The venue is currently applying to hold up to 12 concerts a year, from its current six.

The concert was the final show on Scott’s “Circus Maximus Global Stadium Tour” that wound down its U.S. run in February and continued on into Europe, South America and ultimately to Oceania.

Among the international highlights on the “Circus Maximus” tour reported to Pollstar Boxoffice were Sept. 18 at Coliseo de Puerto Rico that sold 11,739 tickets and grossed $1,422,085; and three nights Aug. 2-4 at MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, that sold 53,354 tickets and grossed $4,801,188.
