“A TESTAMENT TO OUR AMBITION & DEDICATION”

For Rose Moon, who has worked with Adele for 18 years, her most impactful business success and biggest challenge over the past year are one and the same.

“Adele’s Vegas residency is, finally, coming to an end, taking us to 100 shows there which has been phenomenal. But the 10 shows in Munich, held in a custom-built venue that accommodated 76,000 people per night, stand out as a real highlight,” Moon says.

The Munich concerts took place at a bespoke arena at Neue Messe München, the city’s trade fairgrounds, which was tailor-made for Adele and can be described as a pop-up amphitheater with a stadium capacity.

The venue’s massive LED screen recently set a Guinness World Record for the largest continuous outdoor screen, while the ticket sales – at more than 730,000 – represent the highest attendance of any concert residency outside Las Vegas.

Moon notes that the stage was surrounded by ‘Adele World’ featuring a pop-up pub and ‘I Drink Wine’ bar, premium food stalls, karaoke stage and a Ferris wheel.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team’s work in creating such a memorable experience, from the initial concept to the final execution. The European residency, laced with so many personalized details was a testament to our ambition and dedication to a truly unforgettable fan experience for all,” Moon says.

But, of course it came with its challenges. Moon explains, “The concept is something that hadn’t been done before so it came with many questions we’d never been faced with. When putting on big tours, you’re generally only thinking about the show that’s happening on stage but, with us building our venue on a giant car park we had to consider all aspects of the fan experience from toilets, transport links, the terrain under foot, choosing food vendors etc. I never thought there’d be so many options when it came to temporary toilets!”

The Munich shows fit right in with Moon’s business philosophy: “Build it and they will come,” she writes, with a cheeky “Ha!” She adds, “But seriously, I truly believe in hard work and perseverance,” and gives credit to her dad, who makes guitars for a living, for shaping her business values and work ethic.
