James Aloisio Forms DIY, Metal-Minded Southernstate Artist Management

Led by James Aloisio, Southernstate Artist Management launched in January with an artist roster including Drain, Koyo, Sanguisugabogg, Frozen Soul, 200 Stab Wounds and more.

“Southernstate Management takes a hands-on approach, building artists from the ground up while not losing sight of the intense, DIY ethics that brought them from basement shows to arena stages,” says Aloisio, a Long Island, New York, native who was previously working at Unchained in New York.

At Southernstate, with offices in New York and the growing market of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Aloisio says the company is focused on artist management and development, with experience in booking, concert promotion and in bands himself. He currently has two staff members and is in the process of hiring other managers and signing more bands.
