Vampire Weekend Announces ‘Only God Was Above Us’ Tour

Vampire Weekend is setting out on their “Only God Was Above Us Tour” with support from Geese and Turnstiles. The upcoming trek features dates across North America and Europe, kicking off at Just Like Heaven festival in Pasadena, California, on May 10.

The band will perform numerous festivals on this run, including five European events including Pukkelpop in Belgium, Rock En Seine in Paris and more.

Geese will join Vampire Weekend on all of their solo headline dates (starting on May 27 in Burlington, Vermont), with the exception of the final two shows, where Billy Joel tribute band Turnstiles will take the stage. Turnstiles joined Vampire Weekend for their recent double-header at Madison Square Garden, and will wrap up the band’s headline solo shows in Florida with dates in Jacksonville and Miami on June 12 and 13.

From there, Vampire Weekend begins their traverse across Europe lasting through Aug. 23 before returning to the states for three final festival plays, wrapping at Oceans Calling in Maryland on Sept. 27.

Vampire Weekend is managed by Monotone Inc. Among 168 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice, the band has sold 687,936 tickets grossing $34 million.

Tickets for the upcoming tour go on sale Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can sign up for presale access now, with presale begiVamnning Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers will have access to tickets beginning Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
