 Elvis Week Schedule Announced For Aug. 8-16

Elvis Week draws thousands of Blue Suede faithful to Memphis each year to celebrate the life and enduring legacy of The King, Elvis Presley who died on Aug. 16, 1977.

Graceland announced the scheduled for Elvis Week, Aug. 8-16, 2025, including live performances, panels, contests, movie screenings and the annual Candlelight Vigil. In recent years roughly 35,000 people have made the trip to Presley’s estate in Memphis, Tennessee.  

Highlights include A Night in Elvis’ Hollywood on Aug. 13, celebrating his film career with co-stars and live music; an Elvis Music Salute on Aug. 14, featuring artists who shared the stage and studio with Presley; Conversations on Elvis on Aug. 15, with stories from his friends and colleagues; and Elvis: Live On Stage Aug. 16, a big-screen Elvis experience with a live band. The week also includes the 2025 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist contest Aug. 9 and 10.

The somber cornerstone of the week will be the annual Candlelight Vigil on Aug. 15 which starts at Graceland’s trademark front gate with fans walking up the winding driveway to Meditation Garden where Presley is buried alongside his parents Gladys and Vernon Presley, his paternal grandmother Minnie Mae Presley, his daughter Lisa Marie Presley and grandson Benjamin Keough. The procession lasts throughout the night and will be streamed live online for fans around the world.

Confirmed Elvis Week guests include Presley’s friend Jerry Schilling, his girlfriend Linda Thompson, along with singer/songwriter Tony Orlando; singer/songwriter Larry Gatlin who penned Presley’s hits “Help Me” and “Bitter They Are, Harder They Fall”; a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame Brenda Lee, who met Presley while he was recording in Nashville; Estelle Brown of the Sweet Inspirations; Nashville studio legend Charlie McCoy; Peter Guralnick, author of Last Train to Memphis, Careless Love and the upcoming The Colonel and The King; Presley’s co-stars Pat Priest (“Easy Come, Easy Go”), Maryln Mason (“The Trouble With Girls”), and Robin and Gavin Koon (“Follow That Dream”); former member of JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet Larry Strickland; and members of Presley’s Imperials Terry Blackwood and Jim Murray.

Various event packages, ticket options and tour experiences are now available. Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. manages the operations of Graceland and its properties, including Elvis Presley’s Memphis, Graceland’s entertainment and exhibition complex, the new 80K-square-foot Graceland Exhibition Center, the 450-room Guest House at Graceland and the Graceland Archives.
