This year’s American Music Awards in Las Vegas will feature a star-studded lineup of musical performers, including nominees Benson Boone and Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Gloria Estefan, Gwen Stefani and Reneé Rapp. The 51st edition of the awards show, produced by Dick Clark Productions, takes place May 26 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas and will be hosted by multihyphenate star Jennifer Lopez, who will also be performing. Fans can watch the AMAs on CBS and Paramount+ at 5 p.m. PT.
Estefan’s set will celebrate her career spanning five decades and marks the first time she’ll take the stage at the AMAs in over 30 years. Breakout star and AMA nominee Benson Boone will deliver his signature dynamic set to the awards show, and country singer Lainey Wilson will be returning from the European leg of her “Whirlwind World Tour” to take the stage in Vegas.
Reneé Rap will make her live award show performance debut with new music from her upcoming second album. Gwen Stefani is scheduled to perform a medley celebrating the 20th anniversary of Love.Angel.Music.Baby., and Blake Shelton will also be making his AMA debut to perform music from his recently released LP, For Recreational Use Only.
Janet Jackson will also be present at the AMAs to receive the prestigious ICON Award, recognizing her influential work. Jackson, who has won 11 AMAs in her career, will be taking the stage, marking her first TV performance since 2018.
The AMAs are voted entirely by the fans, and nominees are based on fan interaction metrics like streaming, album and song sales, radio airplay and tour grosses. Fans can vote now by visiting VoteAMAs.com and the show’s Instagram page, @AMAs. Voting closes tonight at 11:59 PT with the exception of Collaboration of the Year and Social Song of the Year, which remain open through the first 30 minutes of the broadcast.
