Tom Odell not only announced the title of his upcoming album—A Wonderful Life drops on Sept. 5—and a new song, “Don’t Cry, Put Your Head On My Shoulder,” from the LP, but also unveiled dates for a European global tour.

The British star, who is supporting Billie Eilish’s European shows as well as The Lumineers’ arena tour on select dates in the summer, will kick off the North American leg of his trek at Chicago’s Vic Theatre on Sept. 18 and includes stops at Webster Hall in New York, Boston’s Paradise Rock Club and Massey Hall in Toronto.

His European arena tour opens Oct. 21 at Cardiff Utilita Arena in the U.K., and the routing includes shows at 3Arena in Dublin, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, Co-op Live in Manchester, Accor Arena in Paris, Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Olympiahalle in Munich and Madrid’s Movistar Arena before wrapping up at Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium, on Dec. 4.

Odell worked for nine months on tour buses and trains to finetune lyrics for the album, which was partly written in response to world events and “the sense, almost every week, that the world is ending in some capacity—which it is, for some people,” he said in a release.

“I labored over every line,” he said in a release. “I went in on those words every day, just refining and refining and refining. I can be a bit obsessive, and the obsessive part of me is probably the worst part of me and the bit that I would pay so much money for a therapist to tell me how to lose. But it’s also the bit that does not give up on songs.”

Odell, who is booked by Wasserman Music worldwide and managed by Sam Eldridge of UROK Management, has nearly 32 million monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 14 billion streams. He has also seen success on the road. Last June, he performed at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, and grossed $690,443 off 10,402 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
