Morat Signs Management Deal With WK Entertainment & HYBE Latin America

Days after announcing the signing of legendary reggaeton pioneer Daddy Yankee, HYBE Latin America scored another major Latin artist. The rapidly expanding entertainment company partnered with Walter Kolm Entertainment, one of the top U.S.-based Latin agencies, to sign an exclusive management deal with influential Colombian band Morat, who are currently promoting their latest album, Ya Es Mañana, and have shows scheduled in Miami and South America later this year.
The quartet has flourished on the Latin American touring circuit, and they are looking to build on that success to become a global force in the music industry.
“Morat is one of the most consistent and respected bands in Latin music today,” Walter Kolm said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to work together and support their next chapter with a global strategy that matches their ambitions.”
It’s a major addition for Kolm, who boasts a roster that includes rising Argentinian singer Emilia, Colombian legend Carlos Vives, Mexican star Xavi and more. The signing is also significant for HYBE, which has accelerated its efforts in Latin America with the signing of Daddy Yankee — who retired in 2023 and came back with a new song, “Sonriele,” on Friday — and the announcement of a reality series titled “Santos Bravos,” which features 16 Latin singers vying for a spot in the boy group. It’s a familiar formula, but one HYBE has had great success in the past decade with the formation of massively successful boy groups like BTS, SEVENTEEN and ENHYPEN.
“This partnership with Morat reflects our conviction in the power of Spanish-language music as a global force,” said Isaac Lee, chairman and CEO of HYBE Americas. “Morat is one of the most influential bands of their generation, and their incorporation into HYBE Latin America aligns with Bang Si-Hyuk’s vision of building a truly global ecosystem for superstar development. We are honored to be in business with Walter Kolm.”
Morat has accumulated more than 14 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and many of their songs’ streaming figures have reached nine digits. The band has sold out stadiums in Latin America, including three shows at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros back in December. Morat grossed $12,219,239 and sold 162,886 tickets across that three-night stand, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
Most recently, Morat headlined a July 9 SummerStage show at New York’s Central Park as part of the Latin Alternative Music Conference.
“This partnership with WK comes at the perfect time. We have so much happening with the album and tour, and we’re excited to have their team help us take it even further,” Morat said in a statement.
