VNC25 PanelHighlightsV1 P1

As part of a first look at content for VenuesNow Conference 2025, Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan has been confirmed as a keynote speaker. This panel will offer attendees the chance to hear from one of the most influential leaders in sports and entertainment.

Douglass Morgan was named president of the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium, the $2 billion home of the NFL team, in July 2022, making her the first Black and Asian woman to hold the title with an NFL team. As CBS pointed out, she is “the third woman and third African-American to become president of an NFL team.”

She is a Vegas native and former defense attorney, who also served as vice chair of the Super Bowl LVIII host committee. Douglass Morgan became the first Black chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and previously held roles with the Mirage, AT&T, and several Nevada regulatory commissions.

The eighth annual VenuesNow Conference will take place Sept. 9-11 at Resorts World Las Vegas. Presented by Lockton and Oracle, the event marks the debut in the entertainment capital of the world and the first time VNC has expanded to three days. Past events have been hosted in Austin, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Phoenix, New York and Seattle.

VNC 2025 promises three days of engaging panels, keynotes, networking opportunities, and entertainment on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, with programming focused on sustainability, security, data, technology, and the diverse realities represented in today’s venues.

New this year will be a half-day dedicated to sustainability. An announcement explains that while environmental stewardship has consistently been a vital discussion point at past VenuesNow Conferences, the 2025 event will expand this focus, “with curated content highlighting best practices in sustainability across all venue types, including how to manage energy, water, and waste effectively and the critical levers to ensure financial sustainability, corporate partnerships and guest experience.”

Other panels confirmed today include “The Shifting Economics of University Sports & Entertainment.” This panel discussion will provide a deep analysis of how corporate partnerships, branding, NIL, and an economic revolution are reshaping the collegiate sports and entertainment venue landscape. Hear directly from current college administrators as they share how their institutions are adapting to stay competitive and what it means for the future of campus venues.

VenuesNow Conference will spotlight venue operations this year with more sessions tailored to facility operations professionals, including “Executing the Perfect Changeover,” “Energy & Water Conservation: How Do I Reduce My Utility Cost Spend?” and “Creating Efficiencies Through Outsourcing.”
