Three 6 Mafia Tops Halloween ‘Gods of Chaos’ Festival At Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom

Topped by Three 6 Mafia, Gods of Chaos, a one-night Halloween experience, will hit the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on Oct. 31.
Joining the legendary, horror-themed hip-hop group are Pouya, Project Pat, 1900Rugrat, Lil Wyte, Suicide Silence, Terror, 200 Stab Wounds, Candy, Snuffed on Sight, Knuckle Sandwich, Bodybox, No Cure and Empty Shell Casing. The event is produced by Live Nation.
Ticket presale begins tomorrow, July 29, with a general onsale at Ticketmaster on Wednesday, July 30.
Gods of Chaos will feature two stages at the historic, 5,000-capacity Aragon, which Live Nation talent buyer Zack Chazin says is a first for the venue. The concept has been in the works for years, according to Chazin, who is based in the Windy City and says to expect creative stage designs that allow fan interaction in “360 degrees of absolute brutality and chaos.” The promoter, who joined Live Nation in 2019, developed music festivals including Snowta in Minneapolis that featured top talent like Post Malone and Excision, and Zombie Pub Crawl, which set a Guinness record for most zombies in one place at one time.
“We are building Gods of Chaos into a destination. It’s for fans of metal and rap to collide, connect, and share culture,” Chazin told Pollstar. “I did this with rap and electronic over a decade ago and now we’re doing it again, louder, darker and way more chaotic.”
Tickets for Gods of Chaos start at $49.50 earlybird, raising to $59.60 with limited VIP available that includes stage access and merch packs.
Following festival appearances at Coachella and Sand In My Boots this spring, Three 6 Mafia and founding members DJ Paul and Juicy J are set to tour with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony this summer, playing amphitheaters including Pine Knob near Detroit, Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville and many others. It’s a comeback of sorts for the Memphis-born group, a perfect fit for a Halloween-themed event, known for dark themes and its Mystic Stylez album a classic in the horror-core genre.
