In the throes of a floor-to-ceiling, to-the-walls renovation at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) has launched “Building Momentum” a content series chronicling the transformation of the current venue to a new arena.

Presented by KPMG, the series debuted on MSE’s digital platforms taking fans behind the scenes of the ambitious $800+ million project at the arena which is home to the NHL Washington Capitals, NBA Washington Wizards, family shows, concerts and other programming.

“Building Momentum” will share exclusive access and updates throughout the construction process, which is scheduled to be finished by fall 2027. The series will spotlight the scale, vision and partnerships central to the reimagined venue.

“’Building Momentum’ will give fans a seat at the table as the future of our brand-new arena comes to life,” states Jim Van Stone, President of Business Operations at MSE in a release. “We’ve created a compelling, creative series that truly captures the energy and innovation behind this transformation and we’re excited to share it over the coming months.”

“Building Momentum” will include various miniseries including: “The Ground Floor with Juliana Morgan” with bite-sized social media segments hosted by Monumental Sports Network’s (MNMT) Juliana Morgan; “Pardon Our Progress” featuring perspectives from MSE and Gensler executives that explore the revitalization of The District and impact on Capitals and Wizards fans going into their respective season openers.
