This year’s MTV Video Music Awards expanded its lineup of live performers, adding Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, Tate McRae and Conan Gray. The slew of artists joins previously announced stars Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, Alex Warren, Busta Rhymes, Mariah Carey, sombr and Ricky Martin, who will receive the first-ever Latin Icon Award.

The 2025 VMAs are hosted by LL Cool J and airing live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. The show will be broadcast for the first time on CBS. Fans can also view it on MTV and streaming via Paramount+ in the U.S.

Tate McRae and Conan Gray will make their main stage debut. Gray performed at the Extended Play stage in 2022, and McRae earned her first VMA nominations, including Best Pop Artist and Song of the Year.

Doja Cat last appeared on the awards show in 2023, and she will be performing her latest single, “Jealous Type,” for the first time on TV.

Jelly Roll returns to the VMAs after he opened with Eminem last year. He is nominated in four categories, including Best Hip-Hop and Best Country, which is a new category.

Post Malone last graced the VMAs stage in 2018, and he is nominated for his collaboration with Blake Shelton on “Pour Me a Drink.”
