Superstruct Entertainment Appoints Charles Garland As Non-Executive Director

Superstruct Entertainment today announced the appointment of former Syco Entertainment Global CEO Charles Garland as a non-executive director.
Superstruct chair Andrew Fisher commented, “Charles Garland has an extraordinary track record driving some of the most innovative and entrepreneurial entertainment properties of the past two decades. As Superstruct Entertainment enters its next dynamic stage of development, his expertise and insight will be an extremely valuable addition to our Board.”
Charles Garland commented, “I am delighted to be joining the Superstruct Board at a time when live entertainment, in all its present and potential future forms, shows great potential for growth and expansion as we see generations of consumers placing a greater value on experiences over possessions. The pace of change and growth for the company is very exciting and there are many opportunities ahead”.
Superstruct Entertainment operates some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including Wacken Open Air, Arenal Sound, Defqon.1, Parookaville, Tinderbox, Boardmasters, Zwarte Cross, and Sónar.
It got acquired by investment giant KKR in 2024, and in April this year, announced that Alex Mahon, former chief executive of Channel 4, would take over as CEO from Superstruct co-founder and CEO Roderik Schlösser, who moved into the role of non-executive director.
