Take That Bring Back The Circus To Stadiums In 2026

Take That announced they will be hitting the road in summer 2026 with the return of one of their biggest and most iconic live shows: The Circus Live.
Originally staged in 2009, The Circus Live broke UK records as the fastest-selling tour in history, with over 600,000 tickets sold in under five hours, and over one million fans attending the sell-out shows across the UK and Ireland, according to promoter SJM Concerts.
Now, more than 17 years later, Take That are ready to bring the magic back for a whole new generation of fans, and for those who were there the first time, with the chance to revisit one of the most groundbreaking live productions in UK pop history – “bigger and bolder than ever,” according to today’s press announcment.
A comment from Take That reads, “The Circus tour was one of our favourite experiences as a band and, in the years since, we’ve talked many times about how much we’d love to do it again one day. Well, that time has come! We’re so excited to welcome audiences old and new across the UK and Ireland to the spectacle of The Circus Live next summer. See you out there!”
“Take That – The Circus Live – Summer 2026,” will kick off at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton May 29, with the band then playing a string of huge stadium dates around the UK & Ireland in Coventry, Sunderland, Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester, and two nights at London Stadium, June 26-27, where Take That performed at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012. The 2026 run closes at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium for the final show on July 4.
Tickets go on sale Sept. 26, 9.30 a.m. local time. Fans can get first access to tour tickets by pre-ordering the band’s as yet untitled tenth studio album, to be released late 2026.
Take That’s original “Circus Live” tour set the bar for what a live productions could look like when it opened June 5, 2009, in terms of sheer ambition and creativity. Fans were wowed from beginning to end with a visual feast that included fire-breathers, stilt-walkers, clowns, acrobats, tap dancers, and a huge 30-foot-tall mechanical elephant, which carried the band through the audience.
It stands to reason that the 2026 iteration of the tour will take the production to even greater heights. Take That will perform the original 2009 setlist, with a few surprises along the way.
The Script, who supported Take That on the original Circus Live Tour in 2009, will return as very special guests on all UK shows in 2026, alongside pop royalty, Belinda Carlisle, who will also perform at all UK shows.
Support acts for the closing show in Ireland have yet to be announced.
There seems to be no amount of tickets Take That’s UK fans wouldn’t snatch up in an instant. The band’s 2019 “Greatest Hits Tour” sold 642,000 tickets across 29 arena dates and nine stadiums on the UK leg alone.
That tour included an eight-night residency at London’s O2, which sold a total of 102,726 tickets at a $11,622,902 gross, May 2-10, 2019; as well as a seven-night residency at Arena Birmingham, May 12-19 (70,309 tickets, $8,910,490 grossed).
Take That also set a record in 2011, when they performed eight nights at Wembley Stadium – a record for the longest run of one show at the iconic stadium, which Taylor Swift equalized in 2024. According to the Pollstar Boxoffice, that 2011 run of Wembley Shows sold a total of 623,737 tickets – or 77,967 per show – and grossed a staggering $62,823,259.
