Acrisure Arena’s ‘Magnificent Seven’: Venue To Host 7 Major Events, Including Paul McCartney & The Who, Over 12 Days

The Greater Palm Springs area is the place to be at the end of the month and in early October. Acrisure Arena will soon have an unprecedented two-week run with seven iconic events from major artists and sports teams, including Paul McCartney, The Who, blink-182 and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The venue’s historic 12-day run is appropriately branded as “The Magnificent Seven,” which kicks off Sept. 29 with Paul McCartney kicking off his “Got Back” tour. Days later, rock icons The Who will say farewell to Southern California fans and perform their final North American show ever on Oct. 1.

Acrisure Arena then hosts a preseason contest between the Lakers and Phoenix Suns on Oct. 3, showcasing the venue’s versatility and ability to quickly remove the stage and make the floor a basketball court. Soon after, pop-punk legends blink-182 wrap up their global tour with a two-night stand, Oct. 4 and 5.

Grammy-winning band Maroon 5 returns to the Palm Desert arena Oct. 8, and “The Magnificent Seven” comes to a close Oct. 10 with the Coachella Valley Firebirds’ home opener on Oct. 10.

Hosting such a diversity of events — from legendary rockers to NBA preseason basketball — in only 12 days is a major flex for any building, and it’s a major reason why Acrisure Arena is one of the best venues in not only California but the world.
