Citizens Doubles Down On Pittsburgh With Roxian Theatre Naming Rights

After becoming the name-in-title partner for the new 4,000-capacity Citizens Live At The Wylie in Pittsburgh, financial services firm Citizens has doubled down on the Steel City by partnering with the popular Roxian Theatre.
“At Citizens, we believe in the power of music to bring communities together and redefine Pittsburgh as a premier destination for arts and culture,” said Mark Rendulic, Citizens Pittsburgh Market President. “The Roxian Theatre has long been a cornerstone of Pittsburgh’s live music scene, and our partnerships with both the Roxian and Citizens Live at the Wylie are an extension of our ongoing investment in the cultural vibrancy of the city.”
Now known as Roxian Theatre Presented by Citizens, the 1,470-capacity venue now offers perks for Citizens credit and debit card holders, including skip-the-line entry and upgraded hospitality access.
“Our relationship with Citizens continues to grow, and this announcement is another sign of that momentum,” said Maggie Gessner, Head of Clubs, Live Nation. “Each step we take together underscores our joint commitment to growing Pittsburgh’s reputation as a true destination for live entertainment.”

The two venue naming rights partnerships build on existing relationships with Pittsburgh entities including the Andy Warhol Museum’s Warhol Academy and Sound Series, City of Pittsburgh Summer Concert Series, August Wilson Center’s Community Days, and Kelly Strayhorn Theater. Citizens in 2023 announced a naming rights deal with House of Blues Boston, now known as Citizens House Of Blues Boston.
Recent shows at the Roxian, which originally opened in 1929 and was reborn as a music venue in 2019, include Peach Pit, Leftover Salmon, Raphael Saadiq and The Floozies. Citizens Live at The Wylie is set to open in Pittsburgh’s Lower Hill District in 2026.
