Mitski Releases ‘The Land: The Live Album’ Ahead Of Concert Film

Mitski has released The Land: The Live Album via Dead Oceans ahead of next week’s debut of her concert film, “Mitski: The Land.” The album, along with the entirety of Mitski’s digital catalog, is available for Name Your Price purchase exclusively on Bandcamp until Oct. 19th at midnight Eastern.
Today’s announcement from Mitski’s team explains that “Mitski and Dead Oceans are proud to support Direct Relief with a charitable contribution from the proceeds of Bandcamp Name Your Price releases. Direct Relief works in the U.S. and internationally to expand access to medicine and healthcare by equipping doctors and nurses with lifesaving medical resources.”
The Land: The Live Album is digitally available exclusively on Bandcamp for a limited time and is also available for pre-order on limited edition Blue Light color vinyl exclusively on Bandcamp. The album was recorded during Mitski’s three-night run at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre in September 2024 and mixed by Mitski’s long-standing producer Patrick Hyland.
Mitski was supporting her seventh studio album, 2023’s The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, with the tour described as “as much a spectacle as an expansive live show” that was both “theatrical and daring.” The setlist for the tour and live album includes selections from the 2023 LP as well as “reworkings and reimaginings of songs” from throughout her career. The digital edition of The Land features 21 tracks including “Washing Machine Heart,” “I Bet On Losing Dogs,” “First Love / Late Spring,” “My Love Mine All Mine,” and “Nobody.” The vinyl edition includes 12 tunes.
The Atlanta shows, which took place Sept. 6-8, 2024, sold a total of 11,192 tickets and grossed $1,180,585. The gigs featured support from Lamp and were promoted by AEG Presents.
The new concert film for the indie singer/songwriter will be exclusively in cinemas worldwide on Oct. 22nd. The film, which is directed by Grant James, will be screened in 630 cinemas across 30 countries for a limited time. Fans can visit mitskifilm.com to purchase tickets, as well as sign up for updates on locations and showtimes.
Mitski is managed by Good Harbor’s Dalton Sim and Ben Levin. Her agents are High Road Touring’s Frank Riley and Wilson Zheng.
