In celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary, British heavy metal pioneers Iron Maiden are bringing the “Run For Your Lives World Tour” to North America, with stadiums, amphitheaters, arenas and even a festival headline date next summer.

The tour promises a new stage production on par with the band’s stature as one of the few that can headline stadiums across the world, as well as a headline slot at Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky, which claims the title of largest rock festival in the U.S.

A “once-in-a-lifetime” setlist comes from the band’s first nine albums, according to the announcement, solidifying the tour as a celebration of the band’s groundbreaking earlier work.

Adding firepower to the tour is the tour’s direct support – American thrash mainstays Megadeth, who announced a farewell tour and final album for 2026, who will also be joined on the larger shows by fellow American thrash colleagues Anthrax.

“For a tour celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Iron Maiden, the scale and incredible visual aspects of this tour deserve larger venues than the arenas we have generally played in the past,” manager Rod Smallwood said in the announcement. “We particularly chose this time of year to go bigger outdoors but to give us darkness when we go on stage so you will see the best of the production. Fans certainly won’t be disappointed in the show or the 50th anniversary set list that is for sure!”

Dates kick off Aug. 29 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, with venues and markets including, Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey, BMO Stadium in Los Angeles and a finale at the Alamodome in San Antonio Sept. 29.

An exclusive Iron Maiden Fan Club presale begins Tuesday, Oct. 28, with general onsale for headline shows on Friday, Oct. 31.

Frontman Bruce Dickinson in the announcement adds, “This whole tour has been such great fun. I really enjoy belting out all these great old songs, and the whole band are loving playing them too! We’ve got all the big ones from that early period including Hallowed, Run To The Hills, Trooper, Number Of The Beast, Killers, Powerslave, 2 Minutes… and some of them we haven’t played in the US for over 20 years!!  Plus there’s some real epics including my particular favourite ‘Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ and Seventh Son… We are doing them all and more.  I mean, who wouldn’t for a 50th birthday party!”

The “Run For Your Lives” world tour kicked off May 27 in Budapest, Hungary, playing stadiums across Europe this summer, and will be followed by another European leg that kicks off in May in Athens, Greece. A previously announced Mexico City date takes place Oct. 2 at Estadio GNP Seguros.

“We are greatly looking forward to bringing this RUN FOR YOUR LIVES TOUR to North America and hope the fans enjoy seeing the show and hearing the set list as much as we do playing it,” the band’s Steve Harris adds.

The announcement notes the inclusion of Eddie’s Pop-Up Dive Bar, taking over nearby local breweries and pubs as a dedicated pre-gig hang for Maiden fans, including the band’s own branded beer and merchandise, for the first time in North America.

The Alamodome (70,000 capacity) and Parc Jean Drapeau (65,000) are some of the band’s largest North American headline shows ever, with other milestones including 45 years since iron Maiden first played North America (1981’s Killer World Tour). The Sept. 25 BMO Stadium show will be the 25th time the band has played Los Angeles.

The announcement also strongly encourages fans refrain from excessive smartphone use.

“So for all our North American shows we are once again requesting that fans keep their phones in their pockets and enjoy the show ‘in the moment’, rather than raise their phone in the air trying to film sections and thus inconveniencing those around them and annoying the band,” the statement reads. “So if a so-called fan near you thinks they are special and filming what they selfishly want please just ask them, very politely of course, to put their phone somewhere the sun doesn’t shine!”

Iron Maiden is represented by CAA. The North American “Run For Your Lives” tour is promoted by Live Nation.
