The Weeknd Makes History With ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ Surpassing $1B In Grosses

Touring records continue to be broken since the COVID boom, and the latest artist to cement their legacy on the circuit is global superstar The Weeknd. The Canadian singer-songwriter’s “After Hours Til Dawn Tour” surpassed $1 billion in grosses, making it the top-earning tour by a solo male artist in history.
The achievement comes following the onsale for The Weeknd’s 2026 dates in Mexico, South America, Europe and the United Kingdom. His tour has sold more than 7.5 million tickets and grossed more than $1 billion across 153 shows, according to promoter Live Nation. The “After Hours Til Down Tour” has visited North America twice, Europe, the U.K., Latin America and Australia.
The 2025 North American leg included more than 40 stadium shows with its groundbreaking production, and The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, set records in many of those cities. He became the top-grossing Black male artist in the history of venues in New York, Denver, Santa Clara, Seattle, Edmonton, Montreal, Orlando, Arlington and Houston.
He also set attendance records for an R&B male artist in Boston, Denver, Edmonton and Orlando.
The Weeknd’s run at Rogers Centre in Toronto was historic, as he set the all-time record for most shows by a male solo artist on a single tour with six concerts. He established a similar record in the Los Angeles area, performing more shows than any other solo male artist at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
And he’s not even close to being done. The Weeknd has more than 40 dates scheduled for 2026, including stops in Mexico City, Brazil, Europe and the U.K.
In addition to the record-breaking grosses, the megastar’s trek is also making a global impact by donating more than $8.5 million to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, and additional proceeds from the 2026 run will support World Food Program Global Citizen.
