Midnight Agency CEO Nick Middleton Launches LEVEL Business Management and Accounting Firm

Midnight Agency CEO Nick Middleton and CPA Gabriel Pinheiro have launched LEVEL, a new business management and accounting firm designed specifically for the music industry.

“Musicians and music companies are running increasingly complex global operations, but the financial systems around them haven’t kept pace,” said Nick Middleton, Co-Founder of LEVEL. “Our goal is to give artists and teams the same financial infrastructure enjoyed by other sectors, like accurate reporting, clear planning tools, and a trusted partner at every stage of growth.”

LEVEL’s services include business management, accounting and bookkeeping, royalty accounting, tour budgeting and forecasting, multi-currency income management, and specialized U.S. and international touring support.

Although today is the firm’s official launch, LEVEL has been operating behind the scenes for the past several months, Middleton tells Pollstar, with an active roster of touring artists and music companies already as clients, including LA-based pop artist and singer-songwriter Elijah Woods, folk-electronic duo Moontricks, Canadian electronic acts The Funk Hunters and Hoang and music-company clients including talent agency Midnight Agency and independent label Westwood Recordings.

“Artists today are entrepreneurs operating across borders, time zones, and platforms,” said co-founder Pinheiro. “LEVEL’s cloud-based model gives them the ability to see their financial picture in real time, collaborate with their teams securely, and make decisions informed by accurate, up-to-date data.”
