Jack White & Eminem Release Live EP Following Thanksgiving Halftime Performance

For Jack White and Eminem fans, there was lots to be thankful for this year, with the iconic artists teaming up for the halftime show of the Thanksgiving NFL game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers, followed by the release of a live EP of the performance that night.
Eminem surprised the audience at Detroit’s Ford Field on Thursday by joining White on stage for a pairing of Slim Shady’s “Till I Collapse” and the White Stripes’ “Hello Operator.”
The halftime show also included the White solo song “That’s How I’m Feeling” and a rendition of the White Stripes tune “Seven Nation Army.”
The Detroit Free Press notes that “It was the first-ever musical meeting of the two hometown stars, more than a quarter-century after they each broke onto the wider radar.”
The performance earned high praise with a fan named Steven declaring on X that the “Jack White halftime show was better than any Superbowl halftime show in the last decade.”
The collaboration was released as the EP Live at Ford Field overnight on major streaming services via White and Eminem’s labels, Third Man Records and Shady Records.
Eminem and Shady Records co-founder Paul Rosenberg, who serves as his manager, were the executive producers of the halftime show, along with Jesse Collins Entertainment. Pitchfork points out that Eminem and Rosenberg “will help with the Lions’ Thanksgiving halftime production through 2027.”
