Yusuf / Cat Stevens officially announced the cancellation of his North American Book Tour stating:

“Unfortunately, my North American Book Tour is officially cancelled. Unpredictably, and befuddling to us all, the actual visa finally got delivered after the last scheduled date of the tour had passed. I know how disappointing this must be for those of you who were looking forward to the book tour. My agent and team explored every possible avenue, but it was all beyond our control. I’m grateful for your patience and your support and I hope something new may be put together in the future, in better and brighter circumstances. Peace and love, always.”

The 2025 fall tour titled “Cat on the Road to Findout – An Evening Of Tales, Tunes And Other Mysteries” was announced on May 20, 2025. The tour was in support of his new memoir Cat on the Road to Findout, which was released in North American on Oct. 7 by Genesis Publications. On Sept. 5, Cat-O-Log Records, in partnership with A&M/UMe, released On the Road To Findout: Greatest Hits,  the first career-spanning collection of Yusuf / Cat Stevens’ songs from his 60-year recording career.

October tour stops were scheduled across the U.S. including Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles as well as a Toronto date. Additional shows were added in New York (two nights at the Beacon Theatre) and Los Angeles (two nights at the Dolby Theatre) due to demand.

Prior to the U.S. dates, Yusuf performed in the UK and Ireland visiting Cambridge, Bristol, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Dublin and Glasgow between Sept. 6 and 22. But in late September, Yusuf announced that the North American leg of the tour was being postponed due to visa problems. At the time he explained that although they had “waited months for visa approvals,” the delays forced them to suspend plans.

As of today, the North American book-tour has been cancelled. Ticket purchasers will be notified of the cancellation and refunded.
