Scottish Festivals Unite For Mega Giveaway In Aid Of Local Food Banks

Scotland’s festivals are coming together to launch the Scottish Festival Mega Giveaway, a unique collaborative fundraising initiative aimed at supporting food banks across the country during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
Led collectively by Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, alongside Skye Live, The Gathering, HebCelt, Eilean Dorcha Festival (EDF), Tunes by the Dunes and Black Isle Calling, the initiative sees each festival donate a pair of tickets to their 2026 events.
Festival fans and music lovers can enter the competition by making a minimum £10 donation online via a dedicated crowdfunding page. All funds will be split between food banks local to each participating festival, helping to support communities across Scotland.
Scottish Festival Mega Giveaway launches today, Friday, Jan. 16, at 5 p.m. local time across the participating festivals’ social media channels. The crowdfunder will run for four weeks.
“At a time when festivals and local communities alike are facing increasing pressures, the initiative demonstrates a shared commitment to giving back and reinforces the role these festivals play not just as cultural events in the events calendar, but as active contributors to their local areas.
“By pooling resources, audiences and platforms, the participating festivals hope to raise as much as possible for food banks while also shining a light on the incredible events that Scotland is fortunate to host,” the press announcement of the Scottish Festival Mega Giveaway states.
Dougie Brown, producer at Belladrum Festival, commented, “This collaboration is about coming together as one festival community to support the places and people that support us. Live events are rooted in their local areas, and this is a small but meaningful way for some of Scotlands festivals to give something back while celebrating the strength of our collective scene.”
