Live Nation Strengthens South American Foothold, Inks Deal With Argentinian Stadium

Live Nation strengthened its foothold in South America by announcing a long-term stadium deal in Buenos Aires.
The major promoter, in collaboration with Argentinian companies DF Entertainment and Dale Play, scored a 10-year agreement with Club Atlético River Plate, one of the country’s most popular pro soccer teams, granting Live Nation exclusive live show presentation and naming rights at Estadio Mâs Monumental.
Under the partnership, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2027, DF Entertainment will promote shows from international acts at the stadium, and Dale Play will take the lead in promoting Latin artists.
Live Nation acquired a majority stake in DF Entertainment in 2018, and Dale Play is a company that promotes and manages some of the industry’s biggest Latin artists, including Nicki Nicole, Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Bizarrap, Duki and Rels B. Dale Play finished 31st in Pollstar’s recent Year-End Top Promoters Grosses chart with $101,023,171.
The agreement also grants River Plate members exclusive perks such as access to presale tickets for select shows held at the stadium.
With a capacity exceeding 85,000, Estadio Mâs Monumental is the largest stadium in South America. It finished No. 82 on Pollstar’s Year-End Worldwide Top 100 Stadiums Tickets chart with 160,025 reportedly sold.
The deal not only makes the Buenos Aires stadium a premier destination for artists but also gives Live Nation another major win in the region. The promoter is bullish on South America, recently partnering with BeLive Entertainment Group to become a majority stakeholder in Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile, which is one of the busiest buildings in Latin America. Live Nation also made a majority investment in Bizarro Live Entertainment’s Peruvian operation to bring more artists to Lima.
