Béla Fleck, Greensky Bluegrass, The Avett Brothers Headlining This Year’s Earl Scruggs Music Festival

The Earl Scruggs Music Festival is back in 2026 with a lineup that includes Béla Fleck: My Bluegrass Heart, Greensky Bluegrass and The Avett Brothers as headliners.

The three-day event, which earned the 2025 International Bluegrass Music Association Event of the Year honor, takes place Sept. 4-6 at Tyron International in Mill Spring, North Carolina.

Other acts on the bill include artist-in-residence Alison Brown, The Earls of Leicester with Jerry Douglas, The Del McCoury Band, East Nash Grass, Mountain Grass Unit, Lindsay Lou, Rissi Palmer and many more.

The festival is named after iconic three-finger banjo player Earl Scruggs. The event is approaching its fifth anniversary and introducing the Louise Scruggs Stage in honor of Earl’s wife and manager, who broke barriers for women in the industry. The stage will be located inside one of Tyron’s equestrian arenas. All Legends workshop programming will move to the Foggy Mountain stage, which will also host performances to deliver intimate and engaging live experiences.

The three-day event is also expanding its on-site amenities, including the new Overmountain Lodge, various restaurants and shops and elevated facilities.

Since the inaugural festival in 2022, a portion of the proceeds has gone toward beneficiaries that work to preserve Scruggs’ legacy, promote musical education and celebrate North Carolina’s cultural heritage.
