Stagecoach Fans Temporarily Evacuated Due To Strong Winds

Strong winds in Southern California forced promoter Goldenvoice organizers to briefly delay the second night of Stagecoach Saturday night.
The National Weather Service issued a strong wind advisory in Indio, California, for Saturday, and the gusts began picking up late in the evening, forcing the festival promoter to pause the event at Empire Polo Club before 8 p.m., cancel performances from Riley Green and Journey and push back Lainey Wilson’
Gavin Adcock’s solo set was also scrapped, but he was added to the Whiskey Jam All-Star Sing-Along.
Video boards posted signs that read, “Emergency Evacuation,” informing guests that the “festival has been postponed until further notice” and to “move quickly and calmly to the nearest exit.”
The pause, however, was brief, and the festival resumed a just over an hour later with Lainey Wilson taking the Mane Stage.
The country star did give Green an opportunity to join her on the Mane Stage after his set was canceled, and he performed “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.”
There was also incident that slightly shook up all of Indio and the surrounding area Sunday morning. A 3.6 earthquake in nearby Cabazon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The 2026 edition of Stagecoach was headlined by Wilson, Cody Johnson and Post Malone, who closed out the three-day festival. Posty headlined Coachella last year and graced the Mane Stage at Stagecoach last weekend, becoming the first artist to headline both Goldenvoice events.
