Jacksons No Joke, Says Janet
Janet Jackson’s world tour may be called “Number Ones, Up Close and Personal,” but that description does not apply to any comedians appearing with the diva, according to her contract.
Jokesters sharing a bill with Janet are forbidden from making references to her or her family, let alone getting laughs at their expense, according to The Smoking Gun. The document archive obtained a copy of said contract, which advises promoters that details about Miss Jackson and her relatives “shall be deemed to be confidential and secret,” even if they are well known, apparently.

The document refers to the Jacksons as “Protected Persons,” according to TSG. It also reportedly confers confidentiality on her compensation, which the website reported was $475,000 for a recent U.S. concert guarantee, plus reimbursement of $25,000 for “sound and lights.”
