Moogfest Reveals Its 2011 Daily Lineup
This year’s festival takes place Oct. 28-30 in various venues in downtown Asheville, N.C. The event takes its name from Bob Moog, who is best known as the inventor of the Moog synthesizer. Asheville was Moog’s home for the last 30 years of his life.
Moby and TV On The Radio will get the fun started by performing Oct. 28. Friday’s lineup also includes Tangerine Dream, Chromeo, Flying Lotus, Little Dragon, Holy F**k, The Antlers, Mayer Hawthorn, and Matthew Dear.
The Flaming Lips will keep the party going on Oct. 29’s. Saturday’s roster also features STS9, Amon Tobin, Crystal Castles, Suicide, Dan Deacon, Sbtrkt, St. Vincent, The Naked And Famous, and Yacht.
Passion Pit and Umphrey’s McGee will help close out the festival Oct. 30. They share the Sunday lineup with M83, James Murphy, Pat Mahoney, Ghostland Observatory, Childish Gambino, Beats Antique, Glasser, and Toro Y Moi.
A full schedule with times and venues will be announced in mid-October. This schedule will be interactive and able to sync with smart phones.
To go along with the daily lineup, single-day tickets will go on sale Friday at noon EST. A limited amount of single-day tickets will be available for $75 each plus applicable service fees. After these tickets sell out, the price will increase to $85 plus applicable service fees.
General admission weekend passes are still available for $184.50 plus applicable fees. Once the allotment of level two weekend passes sells out, the price will increase to $199.50 plus applicable fees.
VIP weekend passes are also available.
