“Pearl Jam Twenty” celebrates the band’s 20+ years together from the group’s formation to its journey over the years dealing with fame. The documentary, which was directed by Cameron Crowe, will hit select theaters worldwide on Sept. 20 followed by a full week run beginning Sept. 23 in key markets.

To get ready for the theater premier, the grunge band will post a new exclusive piece of content every day between Sept. 1-20. The PJ Countdown is being held on www.pj20.com.

According to Pearl Jam’s Facebook page, there’s also an ongoing contest to win a DVD of “Pearl Jam Twenty.” Fans are encouraged to check back with www.pj20.com for more exclusive content.

“Pearl Jam Twenty” includes clips gathered from more than 1,200 hours of rarely and never-before-seen footage in addition to over 24 hours of recent interviews with the band and live footage from Pearl Jam’s shows. Before hitting theaters, “Pearl Jam Twenty” will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 10. The film will then make its U.S. television premiere Oct. 21 as part of the PBS “American Masters” series. The DVD will be released worldwide Oct. 25.
