Listen To the New Chili Peppers Album Now
The group’s 10th studio album, I’m With You, will be released in the U.S. and Canada (as well as the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, Spain and South Africa) Aug. 29. Global release dates in other countries are scheduled between Aug. 26-31. I’m With You is the Chili Peppers first album since 2006’s Stadium Arcadium.
The album will be streamed in full on RedHotChilipeppers.com as of 12 p.m. PST. The Chili Peppers are also hosting listening parties at six spots around the world. The band’s announcement about the listening party doesn’t clarify how long the stream will be available so don’t wait too long to tune in.
Last week the band premiered its new video for the I’m With You tune “The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie.” The video features the Chili Peppers performing on a rooftop in Venice, Calif.
Fans can get a free instant download of “The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie” by pre-ordering I’m With You. Pre-order packages are available including an exclusive Red Hot Chili Peppers T-shirt and a band subway poster.
Tonight the band will play a private show for fans in West Hollywood, Calif., at the Roxy Theatre, which will later air on Fuse Aug. 30. A benefit show for the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music is scheduled for Aug. 24 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Those two gigs are the band’s only scheduled U.S. shows on the books. Well, unless you want to go to the movies.
On Aug. 30 the band will perform I’m With You from start to finish in addition to some classic Chili Peppers songs from a stage in Cologne, Germany. The live performance will be broadcast via satellite worldwide Aug. 30 in addition to select varying dates internationally.
The Chili Peppers have South American and European dates scheduled from Sept. 2 through Dec. 17.
