Red Hot Free Show

The show takes place Sept. 2 at London’s Koko. The exclusive gig is being presented by BBC Radio 1.

Pairs of tickets to the event are being given out by BBC Radio 1 through a random drawing on the BBC’s website. Fans can apply for tickets now through Aug. 21. The lucky fans randomly chosen in the drawing will be notified by email Aug. 22. The tickets will then be sent out via Ticketweb. 

There are a number of terms and conditions that apply. The drawing is limited to U.K. residents age 14 years and over. Fans under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or over. Fans can only enter the contest once as multiple applications will be disqualified. The free tickets can not be resold, transferred or exchanged. 

Fans must also be OK with appearing on camera because the show is being recorded for broadcast on Radio 1 at a later date.

The free show is only one of several special Chili Peppers events taking place over the next few weeks.

On Aug. 22 the band is playing a private show for fans in West Hollywood, Calif., at the Roxy Theatre, which will later air on Fuse Aug. 30. A benefit show for the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music is scheduled for Aug. 24 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

The Chili Peppers will celebrate the Aug. 30 U.S. release of the band’s tenth studio album, I’m With You, with a worldwide movie theatre broadcast. 

The band will perform I’m With You from start to finish in addition to some classic Chili Peppers songs from a stage in Cologne, Germany. The live performance will be broadcast via satellite worldwide Aug. 30 in addition to select varying dates internationally.
