Music Writer Wendy Kale Dies
Wendy Kale, 58, longtime music writer at Boulder’s “Colorado Daily,” was found dead in her Boulder apartment Aug. 2.
An autopsy has not determined cause or manner of death but it is not considered suspicious.
Kale was a fixture on the Colorado music scene, and Daily writer and “cubicle mate” Christy Fantz noted that Kale “knew everybody” in the concert business and it was “overwhelming” to accompany her to a concert.
Kale began by promoting college concerts, including Eagles and The Rolling Stones, at the University of Colorado, having been hired in 1976 by then-Program Council Director Phil Lobel, now known for his career as a publicist and who noted to Pollstar his sadness at Kale’s passing.
