Tori Amos Announces U.S. Dates

If good things come to those who wait then you’re gonna love Tori Amos’ latest tour announcement detailing dates for U.S. cities, but leaving out the venues until sometime … later.

But there’s no sense waiting until fall to begin making plans. At least you can figure in the city and timeframe for Amos on your own concert calendar.

Beginning in late November and running through most of December, stops on the U.S. part of the Night Of Hunters tour include Atlanta (Nov. 29); Philadelphia (Dec. 1); New York City (Dec. 2-3); Washington, D.C. (Dec. 5); Boston (Dec. 6); Toronto (Dec. 8); Chicago (Dec. 10); Vancouver, British Columbia (Dec. 13); Seattle (Dec. 14); Oakland, Calif. (Dec. 16); Los Angeles (Dec. 17-18); Austin, Texas (Dec. 21); and Dallas (Dec. 22).

While you’re waiting to find out which venue will host Amos in your town, check out the “Global Inspiration City Competition” which involves fans submitting photos of some of the cities on the routing. The contest takes place at the Lomographic Society International website where fans are invited to submit photos of one of “10 exciting cities” on Amos’ world tour — New York, Moscow, London, Philadelphia, Berlin, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Chicago and Amsterdam.

“My fans are some of the most creative people I know, so with their help I want them using their own analog photography to represent some of the cities on the tour,” Amos said in a statement. “The best photos will then be featured in my program that will be available at all shows on the Night Of Hunters Tour. We have chosen just 10 of the many great cities we will be visiting to take inspiration from and I am really looking forward to seeing the results and having some fun picking the winning shots.”

Those “winning shots” could snag you a Tori Amos limited edition Diana F+ camera, a personally signed copy of the tour book, the Night Of Hunters album and a tour T-shirt.

But you need to get snappin’ because the contest ends Aug. 15. For more information, click here for Tori Amos’ website and here for the Lomographic Society International.
