Paul Simon Postpones Tonight’s Show

Paul Simon is feeling under the weather and won’t be able to make it to his U.K. show tonight.

The gig, which is part of the singer/songwriter’s European tour, would have taken place tonight at London’s HMV Hammersmith Apollo at 8 p.m. The show has been rescheduled at the same venue (and the same time) for tomorrow. All tickets will be valid for the rescheduled show.

According to the venue’s website, Simon has been dealing with throat problems and was advised to rest for a day.

A statement explains that “Paul sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused. He would like to stress that he only has his fans’ best interests at heart and wants to deliver the best show possible.”

After playing HMV Hammersmith Apollo, Simon takes the stage at The NIA in Birmingham, United Kingdom on Thursday. On Friday he plays iTunes Festival at London’s Roundhouse. Additional festival appearances include a July 8 set at North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands at Ahoy Rotterdam; and a July 14 set at Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland at Stravinski Auditorium. Simon will also perform at the O2 Apollo Manchester in the U.K. on July 3.

Simon is touring in support of his twelfth studio, So Beautiful or So What. The album was released in April on Hear Music.
