Soundgarden Announces Remaining Summer Dates

Three weeks after announcing the first four shows of the band’s summer tour, Soundgarden has revealed the remaining 12 dates.

The trek is the grunge rock band’s first major tour since breaking up in 1997. In April 2010 Soundgarden reunited to play a secret show in Seattle under the name “Nudedragons.” That gig was followed by an Aug. 5 Chicago show and an Aug. 8 headline set at the 2010 edition of Lollapalooza.

The summer tour is set for July 2-30. The newly announced U.S. dates include shows in Uncasville, Conn., at Mohegan Sun Arena (July 6); Newark, N.J., at Prudential Center (July 8); Wantagh, N.Y., at Nikon At Jones Beach Theater (July 9); Mansfield, Mass., at Comcast Center (July 10); and Fairfax, Va., at Patriot Center (July 12).

Soundgarden will also be making stops in Atlantic City, N.J., at Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa (July 14); Chicago’s UIC Pavilion (July 16); San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (July 21); Las Vegas’s The Joint (July 23); and Quincy, Wash., at Gorge Amphitheatre (July 30).
