Brandi Carlile Announces May Shows
Recorded with the Seattle Symphony, Brandi Carlile – Live At Benaroya Hall lands in stores May 3 and features arrangements created by Sean O’Loughlin and Paul Buckmaster. Recorded during two November nights at the Seattle venue, Carlile drew from her own impressive catalog as well as other people’s songs, such as Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound Of Silence.”
Carlile also performed Elton John’s “Sixty Years On,” a selection that’s especially noteworthy in this instance because she used the original arrangement Buckmaster created for the Elton John album more than 40 years ago.
You probably already know about Carlile appearing with LaMontagne beginning May 25 in Waterbury, Conn., at the Palace Theater. Now Carlile has lined up a few pre-Ray shows starting May 5 in Bend, Ore., at Tower Theatre; May 6 in Eugene, Ore., at Jaqua Concert Hall; May 7 in Napa, Calif., at Uptown Theatre; May 8 at Anaheim’s House Of Blues and May 11 in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Café. The list of destinations also includes New Braunfels, Texas (May 17), Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala. (May 20), Greenville, S.C. (May 21) and Richmond, Va. (May 22).
Ticket sales begin March 16. Visit BrandiCarlile.com for more information.
